Training a New generation of Researchers in Offshore Seaweed Aquaculture to Produce High-value Chemicals - SeaChem

SEACHEM is delighted to welcome Mohammad Hassanzadeh as Doctoral Candidate 2 (DC2). Hosted by Institut de la Corrosion, and enrolled in a PhD programme at KU Leuven, his doctoral research addresses biofilm-induced corrosion in metal structures used for aquaculture applications.

The project will also develop advanced corrosion sensors and monitoring strategies to support optimized maintenance of offshore aquaculture systems. His research will help improve the durability and operational safety of marine infrastructure supporting seaweed cultivation.
