The SEACHEM consortium successfully gathered in Ireland from 27 to 31 May 2024 for a productive week of meetings, workshops, and training activities involving project partners, supervisors, and doctoral candidates (DCs).

The event began at the University of Galway, where consortium members reviewed project progress, discussed ongoing collaboration across work packages, and aligned on upcoming milestones and activities. The meetings also provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among partners and exchange knowledge across the consortium.

Alongside the consortium sessions, SEACHEM doctoral candidates participated in a series of workshops and training activities focused on both scientific and transferable skills development. These sessions encouraged interdisciplinary learning and collaboration among the researchers involved in the project.

 

 

 

In the second part of the week, the activities continued at the Bantry Marine Research Station (BMRS) in Bantry, where the DCs took part in additional workshops and practical training sessions linked to marine and environmental research topics relevant to SEACHEM.

The Ireland meeting represented an important milestone for the project, combining scientific exchange, training, and networking in support of the development of the next generation of researchers working within SEACHEM.

The activities took place in Galway between 27–30 May and continued in Bantry on 30–31 May 2024.
